With the most recent deadline set for September 17, officials from the U.S. and China are scheduled to meet in Madrid, Spain, on September 15 for negotiations on the future of tiktok. Through three consecutive executive orders issued by the United States President Donald Trump on January 20, April 4, June 19, 2025, to further extend Tiktok enforcement delay , requiring Bytedance to divest U.S. operation or face nationwide ban. Reports says that Trump is likely to ordee another extension after September 17. In a quick media interview, Trump stated: "I may or may not. We are negotiating tiktok right now. We may let it die, I don't know, it's up to China. I will do it for the kids. Selfishly speaking, I did very well on tiktok, and I got it useful"

Disney has been charged $10 million to settle Federal Trade Commission (FTC) allegations of unlawfully collecting children's personal data without parental consent, thereby violating the U.S Children's Online Privacy Protection rule. Following a complaint filed by the department of Justice, Disney violated the rule by wrongly lebeling some of its YouTube uploaded videos as "Made For Kids". This mislabeling exposed children to age inappropriate YouTube features without notifying parents or obtaining their consent. YouTube requires content creators, including Disney, to indicate uploaded videos are either "Made For Kids" or "Not Made For Kids" inorder to comply with the policy. As part of the settlement, Disney will pay a $10 million civil penalty for violating the policy, comply with the policy, and implement a program to ensure that all videos uploaded to YouTube are properly marked as "Made For Kids" or "Not Made For Kids".

 Singapore has ordered Meta to implement anti-scam measure or face possible fines. In a transcript published by the Ministry of Homes Affairs, Mr Goh Pei Ming, Minister of State Affairs at the Global Anti-Scam Submit in Singapore. He referred to Mr Jorij Abraham, Managing Director Global Anti-Scam Alliance, along with other distinguished guests, while addressing on the impact of scams and the ongoing anti-scam efforts. An implementation directive was issued to Meta, requiring the company to introduce measures to address scam advertisements, accounts, profiles, and business pages impersonating key government officials on Facebook. This directive was issued to Meta because Facebook is one of the top platform used by scammers. Compliance with the directive is mandatory, and failure to do so may result in stuff penalties, including fines of up to 1 million Singapore dollars.
