What is Split-Screen Mode?
Split-screen mode is a feature that allows you to make use of two apps at the same time on your smartphone. Imagine watching a YouTube tutorial while browsing through your social media feed. This multitasking feature can supercharge your productivity and improve your overall smartphone experience.

How to activate Split-Screen Mode
Depending on your device model and operating system, activating split-screen mode varies.

For Android Devices:

Go to the first app you want to use > Click on the Recent Apps button located at the button of the screen > Tap and hold the app’s icon > then select Split Screen or a similar option > finally you choose the second app you’d like to open.

For iPhones

iPhones does not feature split-screen mode like some Android device. However, Apple reserves this feature for iPads with iOS 11 or later through Split View.

Some applications on the app store mimic split-screen functionality. Third-party applications like; Split Screen View, Split Screen - Dual Window, Multitasking Split Screen, Browser Split Screen, Dual Browser, provides split-screen functionality on iPhone 

For ipad

Open an App you want to use > Swipe up from the bottom of the screen (on devices with Face ID) or press the Home button (on older iPads with a Home button) to bring up the Dock > From the Dock, select an app for the spliting by tapping and holding the app icon > Then drag it to the left or right edge of the screen.

To exit Split View, drag the divider over one of the apps to close it.

The Future of Smartphone Multitasking
With the continuous evolution of smartphone technology, multitasking features like split-screen mode are expected to progress significantly. If your current device doesn’t support this feature, consider exploring third-party apps or upgrading to a model that does.
